Ron was born in Vinton, Iowa and moved to Oelwein in 1948. He was a postal carrier for the Oelwein Post Office until his retirement in January of 1994. He enjoys golf, watching sports, especially the Iowa Hawkeyes and spending time with his family. Ron and his late wife, Sally have three sons, Tim (deceased), Todd and Chris. He has been employed at the funeral home since 1994.
