Scott grew up in Maynard, Iowa and graduated from West Central High School in 2002. After high school, he continued his education at Northeast Iowa Community College in Calmar. In 2006, he graduated from Worsham College of Mortuary Science in Wheeling, Illinois. Scott was a funeral director at Hauser Funeral Home in Charles City for 5 ½ years before moving to Oelwein in October of 2011 to accept a position with Jamison-Schmitz Funeral Homes. Scott’s wife Stacy is the K-12 vocal music teacher at West Central, Maynard. Scott is a member of the Oelwein Lion’s Club, Iowa Funeral Directors Association and National Funeral Directors Association. He, his wife, and their children Holly, Abrielle and Levi are members of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Maynard. Scott enjoys spending time with his family, cooking and working with his horses.
