Zola M. Rowe, 66, of Oelwein, Iowa died on Friday morning, January 17, 2014 at the Oelwein Health Care Center in Oelwein, Iowa. Memorial Service: 11:00 A.M. on Thursday, January 23, 2014 at the Jamison-Schmitz Funeral Home in Oelwein, Iowa; Officiating: Rev. William Hill; Visitation: from 9:00 A.M. to service time on Thursday; Inurnment: Flynn Cemetery at Humnoke, Arkansas at a later date. A Memorial Fund has been established in her name. Zola Marie Swan was born on July 18, 1947 at Lamberlin, Arkansas, the daughter of Golda William and Mildred (Ryan) Swan. She received her associate degree in nursing from Robert Morse College at Carthage, Illinois. She was a LPN at St. Vincent Hospital in Little Rock, Arkansas and was also a teacher's aid at the Oelwein Middle School. Zola married Lee Sours on February 7, 1969 at Lynwood, California. They are divorced. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Oelwein, Iowa. Zola enjoyed reading, fishing, cooking, hunting and family gatherings. Zola is survived by: Son--John (Laura) Sours of Oelwein, Iowa; Grandson--Jonathan Andrew Sours of Oelwein, Iowa; 2 Great Grandsons; 3 Brother's--Jerry Swan of Scott, Arkansas; Joe Swan of Stuttgart, Arkansas and Ricky Swan of England, Arkansas; 3 Sister's--Marce Byron of Clinton, Arkansas; Tokey Hauser of Keo, Arkansas and Linda Minton of Jacksonville, Arkansas; Step-Daughter--Karen Beyer of Woodstock, Illinois; Former Husband--Lee Sours of Hazleton, Iowa; and Nieces and Nephews She was preceded in death by her parents; son (Robert Sours); sister (Elaine Parnell); brother (Walter Swan); step-daughter (Sherril Ann Aguliara) and a nephew (Jason Swan).
