Funeral Service: 12:Noon on Thursday, March 18, 2010 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Oelwein, Iowa; Officiating: Rev. Harry Koelker; Visitation: from 4:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. on Wednesday at the Jamsion-Schmitz Funeral Home in Oelwein, Iowa where there will be a Parish Scripture Service at 6:30 P.M. on Wednesday; Inurnment: Woodlawn Cemetery at Oelwein, Iowa at a later date.

He was preceded in death by his Parents and 5 Brothers (Mark Smith Jr., Ronald Smith, Jim Smith, Mike Smith, and Tim Smith).

Victor Leroy Smith was born on May 28, 1937 at Pasadena, California the son of Mark Bernard and Helen Marcella (Hanley) Smith Sr.. He worked at Dura Automotive in West Union, Iowa as an assembler. Victor was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and a longtime Oelwein resident. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends and fishing in Iowa and Minnesota.
