Travis Patrick Berry

Travis P. Berry, 56, of Maynard, Iowa, passed away Sunday afternoon, September 24, 2023, at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City, Iowa.

Visitation: 4:00 to 7:00 P.M. Friday, September 29, 2023, at the Jamison-Schmitz Funeral Home in Maynard.

Travis Patrick Berry was born July 19, 1967, in Vinton, Iowa, the son of Gene Raymond and Pat May (Yearous) Berry. He grew up in Stanley, Iowa and graduated from Oelwein High School. On September 5, 2008, he was united in marriage to Carrie Ann Green at Fontana Park. Over the years Travis was employed at Berry Salvage Yard, Transco, ABCO and worked for local farmers. Growing up, Travis was very passionate about fishing and hunting. That same passion he passed on to his sons. Travis loved his boys and grandson dearly and making memories with them.

Travis is survived by his wife: Carrie Berry of Maynard; 2 sons: Jake Berry (Paige Stelter) of Oelwein and Jonathan Berry of Maynard; grandson: Hunter Berry; sisters: Tina Rodas of Strawberry Point and Melody (Bart) Thein of Atlanta, Georgia; brother: Chris (Julie) Berry of Oelwein; father-in-law: John Green of Maynard; sister-in-law: Sandee (Rodney) Flickinger of Story City; brothers-in-law: Adam (Chyna) Green of Oelwein and Michael (Deann) Green of Oelwein; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and mother-in-law: Esther Green.
