Terrie Lee Bell

Terrie L. Bell, 68, of Oelwein, Iowa, died Sunday, August 4, 2024, at the Cedar Valley Hospice House in Waterloo, Iowa.

Funeral Service: 10:30 A.M. Friday, August 9, 2024, at Zion Lutheran Church in Oelwein with Rev. Josh Schunk officiating.
Visitation: 4:00 to 6:00 P.M. Thursday, August 8, 2024, at the Jamison-Schmitz Funeral Home in Oelwein and for one hour before the service on Friday at the church.
Interment: Woodlawn Cemetery, Oelwein.
Memorial Fund: Cedar Valley Hospice of Waterloo.

Terrie Lee Gillespie was born February 3, 1956, in Waterloo, Iowa, the daughter of Myron Norton “Mick” and Donna Mae (Worple) Gillespie. She graduated from East Waterloo High School in 1974 and attended UNI and graduated from Hawkeye Tech. On April 4, 1980, she was united in marriage to Steven Donald Bell at Zion Lutheran Church in Oelwein. Terrie worked at Kmart in Oelwein and Waterloo for nine years. For 30 years she worked for Black Hawk Abstract and Title in Waterloo. She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Oelwein. Terrie enjoyed family events, her grandchildren, politics, casino trips, and amusement parks. Her favorite vacation spot was Las Vegas. While attending UNI she was blessed with the opportunity to travel to Europe.

Terrie is survived by her husband: Steve Bell of Oelwein; 3 children: Tiffany (Toby), Katie (Dennis), and Zachary; 2 stepchildren: Jeni (Greg) and Joe (Brooke); 7 grandchildren: Sam (Ixtel), Kayley, Lily, Hayden, Nick, Jack, and Anna; 2 greatgrandchildren: Lexi and Leo; sister: Vickie (Steve) Sturgeon; mother: Donna Torsrud of Evansdale; brother-in-law: Tim Bell.

She was preceded in death by her father, brother, and granddaughter Lila.
