Shirley A. Stockwell, 84, of Brownsburg, Indiana and formerly of Oelwein, Iowa died Thursday, January 26, 2017 at the Brownsburg Health Care Center in Brownsburg.
Graveside Service: 11:00 A.M. Friday, February 3, 2017 at Floral Hills Memorial Gardens rural Oelwein.

Shirley Ann Walker was born September 27, 1932 at Oelwein, Iowa the daughter of John and Gertrude (Cannon) Walker. In 1951, she graduated from Oelwein High School. On March 5, 1953, she was united in marriage to Wayne Edwin Stockwell at Las Vegas, Nevada. Shirley was a devoted and loving homemaker. She was a former member of Christ United Presbyterian Church. Shirley enjoyed knitting, crocheting, bingo, puzzles, cards, cooking and canning.
Shirley is survived by her husband: Wayne Stockwell of Brownsburg, Indiana; 4 children: Anne (John) Murphy of Brownsburg, Indiana, Jim Stockwell of Stanwood, Washington, Mary (Michael) Zuck of Jesup and Brian (Vicki) Stockwell of Billings, Montana; 12 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; 1 brother: Russel Walker of Sheridan, Wyoming; and 2 sisters: Loretta Smith of Oelwein and Florence Temple of Champaign, Illinois.
She was preceded in death by her parents; son: Richard Stockwell; and 11 siblings.
