Interment: Floral Hills Memorial Gardens Cemetery in rural Oelwein, Iowa

Shirley Jo Carley was born on July 29, 1928 at Oelwein, Iowa, the daughter of Elza and Rose (Kint) Carley. She graduated from Fayette High School at Fayette, Iowa in 1946. Shirley married Wayne Edward Nelson on October 14, 1951 at Oelwein, Iowa. She was a homemaker and enjoyed country music.

Shirley is survived by her 2 Sons;
Michael Nelson of Clear Lake, Iowa and Gary Nelson of Rochester, Minnesota
Granddaughter--Cassanadra Nelson of Auburn, Washington
Nephew--David (Colette) Schmidtke of Charles City, Iowa
2 Nieces--Carolyn (Jerry) Bayness of Oelwein, Iowa and Diane (Charles) Macke of Oelwein, Iowa.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband (Wayne E. Nelson on October 21, 2004; brother (Jack Carley) and 2 Sisters (Frances Carley and Maureen Schmidtke).
