Rosaline Rardin Hanaway Obituary (1921

Oma Rosaline Hanaway was born December 25, 1921 at Ravenswood, West Virginia the daughter of Virgil and Ruth Dils Rardin. She attended and graduated from the Ravenwood High School. She then enrolled and graduated from Mountain State Business College at Parkersburg, West Virginia. During WWII she worked at the Pentagon where she met her future husband Frank. Rosaline was united in marriage to Frank Hanaway on October 24, 1942 at Washington, D.C. To this union were born two children: Kay and Chuck. They farmed in Indiana from 1944 until 1964 when they moved to Lamont. They farmed near Lamont until 1968 when Frank went to work for Standard Oil Fertilizer at Lamont. They retired in 1980. After retirement they spent their summers camping and fishing in Ely, Minnesota. Frank entered into his eternal rest on September 24, 1995. Rosaline continued living at Lamont until moving to the Monticello Nursing and Rehab center in 2005. Rosaline enjoyed bowling, fishing, gardening, Bingo, Dominoes, and especially was devoted to her grandchildren and family. Rosaline was a member of the Grace United Methodist Church in Lamont, Order of the Eastern Star Chapter 472 at Lamont and was a past Matron; and the Out Our Way Club. Rosaline Hanaway entered into her eternal rest on Tuesday, December 6, 2011 at the Monticello Nursing Center just short of her 90th birthday. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband B. Frank, and one great granddaughter Belle. Survivors include her daughter: Kay (Dennis) Fear of Monticello; her son Chuck (Sherrie) Hanaway of Dundee; four grandchildren: Heather Schaul, Corey (Audrey) Hanaway, Travis (Nicole) Hanaway, and Tonia (Brock) Barnhart; nine great grandchildren: Benjamin, Emilie, Madison, Job, Zoey, Avery, Carsen, Halle, and Malaya; her brother: Ray (Billie) Rardin of Dyersville; other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Friday, December 9, 2011 at the Grace United Methodist Church in Lamont with Pastor John Brockschink officiating. Music provided by Karen Kremer. Casketbearers will be: Terry Gaffney, Sam Kremer, Charlie Peck, LeRoy Recker, Jerry Recker, and Dave Hansen. Interment will be in Campton Cemetery east of Lamont. Friends may call from 4 PM until 7 PM Thursday at the Grace United Methodist Church in Lamont and after 10 AM Friday.
