Robert J. Green, Sr., 68, of Cushing, Iowa and formerly of Oelwein, Iowa, died Thursday morning, October 4, 2012, at Mercy Medical Center in Sioux City, Iowa.

Funeral Service: 10:30 A.M. Monday, October 8, 2012 at the Jamison-Schmitz Funeral Home in Oelwein with Rev. Leo Combs-Lay officiating.
Visitation: 3:00 P.M. to 6:00 P.M. Sunday, October 7, 2012 at the Jamison-Schmitz Funeral Home in Oelwein and from 9:30 A.M. to 10:30 A.M on Monday at the funeral home.
Interment: Woodlawn Cemetery, Oelwein, Iowa.

A Memorial Fund has been established in his name.

Robert James Green, Sr. was born February 20, 1944, at Oelwein, Iowa, the son of Edgar "George" and Frances (Wycislo) Green. He attended school in Oelwein. Robert drove truck all of his life for many different companies. Robert enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, raising rabbits and cooking. He especially enjoyed spending time with his children, grandchildren, family holidays and his dog, Scrib.

Robert is survived by his 4 Sons, Robert James (Kristi) Green, Jr. of Clinton, Mississippi,
Evan (Heather) Green of South Sioux City, Nebraska,
Damon (Carla) Green of Sioux City, Iowa and
Joel (Ashley) Green of Humboldt, Iowa;
11 Grandchildren;
5 Great Grandchildren;
Very Special friend, Pauline Vauble of Sac City, Iowa;
3 Sisters, Delores Niemann of Sumner, Iowa,
Joanne Walters of Oelwein, Iowa and
Karen Wise of Oelwein, Iowa; and
many Nieces and Nephews.

He was preceded in death by his Parents; 2 Brothers, Henry Charles Green in infancy and Harold Green; and 3 Brothers-in-law, Martin Walters, Phillip Niemann and Jim Wise.
