Paul Christian Crawford, Sr. was born June 2, 1948 in Arlington, Iowa, the son of Ralph & Evelyn (Streicher) Crawford. He graduated from Starmont High School, Arlington, in the class of 1966. He proudly served in the U.S. Marine Corps during the Vietnam war and received the Purple Heart. Paul worked construction and then at AMPI for over 20 years, retiring in 2013. Paul was a member of the Arlington American Legion Post #219 and was an avid hunter. Paul is survived by his Partner of over 25 years: Melody Stover of Arlington; 3 Children: Deborah Crawford of Tacoma, Washington, Christopher Crawford of Juno, Alaska and Paul (Julie) Crawford, Jr. of Rockford, Illinois; 2 Grandchildren; 3 Great Grandchildren; 2 Sisters: Joyce Baumgartner of Elkader and Linda Meyer of Elkader; Nieces and Nephews and his cats: Mouse "Kitty" and Stubby. Paul was preceded in death by his parents, grandson: Elijah Crawford, brother: Jim Crawford and 2 brothers-in-law: Wayne Baumgartner and Keith Meyer.
