Maxine Hausman, 91, of Oelwein, Iowa, died on Tuesday afternoon, May 8, 2012 at Oelwein Health Care Center in Oelwein.

Funeral Service: 10:30 A.M. Monday, May 14, 2012 at the Stanley Union Church at Stanley, Iowa with Pastor Philip Rownd officiating.
Visitation: 4:00 to 7:00 P.M. on Sunday at the Jamison-Schmitz Funeral Home, Oelwein and for one hour before the service at the church on Monday.
Interment: Floral Hills Memorial Gardens, rural Oelwein, Iowa.

Mildred Maxine Brown was born on November 1, 1920 at Dunkerton, Iowa, the daughter of Clarence E. & Audra I. (Jones) Brown. She graduated from Dunkerton High School. Maxine was united in marriage to Elmer J. Hausman on November 11, 1939 at Dunkerton, Iowa. She was a homemaker and farm wife. Maxine also worked at Ace Hardware, F.W. Woolworth and as an Avon Representative for many years. She was successful in her work and her life due to her outgoing personality and her genuine love of meeting and helping others. Maxine was a wonderful oil painter and enjoyed making crafts. She immensely enjoyed her family time and always tried to put them first in her life. Maxine was a member of the Stanley Union Church and had been a volunteer Senior Companion for Hawkeye Valley Area on Aging.
