Mary E. Seegers, 82, of Westgate, Iowa, died Thursday, March 6, 2025, at MercyOne Oelwein Medical Center in Oelwein, Iowa.

Mass of Christian Burial: 10:30 A.M. Thursday, March 13, 2025, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Oelwein, with Fr. Ray Atwood officiating.
Visitation: 4:00 to 7:00 P.M. Wednesday, March 12, 2025, and from 9:00 to 10:00 A.M. Thursday, at the Jamison-Schmitz Funeral Home in Oelwein.
Rosary: 3:30 P.M. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Interment: Immaculate Conception Catholic Cemetery, Fairbank, Iowa.

Mary Eunice McCloud was born August 24, 1942, in Oelwein, the daughter of Oliver “Mack” and Beatrice Sarah (Kane) McCloud. She graduated from West Central High School in Maynard, Iowa and later from The University of Northern Iowa with a bachelor’s in special education. In 1959, she married Roger L. Warnke. Four children were born to this union, Roger, Bret, Vicky and Jacky. They later divorced. Mary taught special education at Elkader, Iowa. On August 16, 1986, she was united in marriage to Marvin Lorenz Seegers in Sumner, Iowa. Mary was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. She enjoyed gardening, gambling, traveling, going out to eat and going for drives.

Mary is survived by her 4 children: Roger (Brenda) Warnke of Sumner, Bret (Marla) Warnke of Westgate, Vicky (Garry) Bumgardner of Springfield, Tennessee and Jacky (Mitch) Kane of Wichita, Kansas; 9 grandchildren; and 13 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; grandson: Alex Warnke; and sister: Clarice McCloud.
