"Maw" Hughes, 87, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa and formerly of Oelwein, Iowa died on Friday morning, September 23, 2011 at St. Luke's Hospital in Cedar Rapids, Iowa A Celebration of Margie's Life will be held on Saturday, October 1, 2011 at the conference hall of the AmericInn in Cedar Rapids from 11:00 A.M. to 3:00 P.M.; Inurnment will be at a later date at the IOOF Cemetery at Georgetown, Texas A Memorial fund has been established in her name Online Obituary at: www.jamisonschmitzfuneralhome.com Margie Viola Robinson was born on August 6, 1924 at Leander, Texas, the daughter of Jessie Clinton and Annie Elizabeth (White) Robinson. She married Robert Bethel Hughes on December 25, 1939 at Round Rock, Texas. Margie lived in Georgetown, Texas for 40 years before moving to Oelwein, Iowa in 1989. She moved to the Marion and Cedar Rapids area in 2003. Margie was a homemaker and was a former member of the First Baptist Church in Georgetown, Texas.. Margie is survived by her daughter--Ann Page of Cedar Rapids, Iowa 5 Grandchildren 21 Great Grandchildren 2 Great Great Grandchildren Nieces and Nephews She was preceded in death by her Parents--Husband (Robert B. Hughes on April 6, 2005) and a Sister (Gladys Helms).
