Lucille M. "Lucy" Goodin-Patridge, 99, of Maynard, Iowa passed away on Tuesday, April 3, 2018 at the home of her daughter in Philomath, Oregon. Memorial Service: 1:00 P.M. Saturday, June 2, 2018 at the First Presbyterian Church in Maynard with Rev. Dennis Frank officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the First Presbyterian Church of Maynard or the Maynard Senior Citizens. If those attending the memorial service have a quilt made by Lucy, please bring the quilt to be draped over a pew at the memorial service. Online obituary at www.jamisonschmitzfuneralhome.com Lucille Minnie Newcomb was born November 21, 1918 at Norway, Iowa the daughter of Philander and Minnie Caroline Newcomb. On June 28, 1940, she was united in marriage to Walter C. "Bob" Goodin at Strawberry Point, Iowa. To this union, 10 children were born. Walter passed away in 1993. On September 24, 2000, Lucy married Robert L. Patridge of Maynard. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Maynard and the Maynard Senior Citizens where she served as president for 10 years. Lucy enjoyed her family and friends. She also enjoyed gardening, baking, playing cards, making quilts and the sharing them with those she loved. In November of 2017, Lucy moved to Philomath, Oregon to spend time with her daughters Patty and Barb and their families. Lucy is survived by her husband: Robert Patridge of Fayette; 4 daughters: Judy (Howard) Nading of Oelwein, Susie (David) McLaughlin of Plano, Texas, Barbara (Rick) Jans of Philomath, Oregon and Patty (Steve) Carpenter of Philomath, Oregon; 1 Son: Patrick Michael (Diane) Goodin of Alpha, New Jersey; 19 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren; and 1 great-great granddaughter. She was preceded in death by her parents; 1st husband: Walter "Bob" Goodin; 3 sons: Charles Lee Goodin, Walter Charles Goodin, Merle George Goodin and 2 infants at birth; 3 brothers; and 2 sisters.
