Katharina Howard Gresham Obituary (1932

Kay Maria Gresham was born December 24, 1932 in Neinburg, Germany the daughter of Franz Xarer and Anna Maria Prorie Meindl. . She grew up and attended school in Germany. Kay was married to Tom Gresham in 1959 in Germany. They moved to the united states in 1962 where Kay became a naturalized citizen. She owned and operated the Maryville Cafe and after closing it she worked at various places as a cook. She lived many years in Lamont until moving to the Edgewood Convalescent center in 2011. She enjoyed playing cards and going to the casino. Kay entered into her eternal rest on Tuesday, March 17, 2015 at the Edgewood Convalescent Home in Edgewood, Iowa. Preceding her in death were her husband, her parents, and brothers and sisters. Surviving relatives are all in Germany. She is also survived by many friends including special friends Larry and Diane Harris. Friends may call from 3 PM until 5 PM Tuesday, March 24 at the Grace United Methodist Church in Lamont. A memorial service will be held at 5 PM Tuesday by Father Paul Peters. Inurnment will be held in St. Albert's Cemetery east of Lamont.
