Joyce Ann Iseton

Joyce A. Iseton, 75, of Oelwein, Iowa, went home to be with the Lord, with her family by her side, on Friday morning, October 20, 2023, at MercyOne Medical Center in Waterloo.

Funeral Service: 11:00 A.M. Monday, October 23, 2023, at the Jamison-Schmitz Funeral Home in Oelwein with Pastor Dave Byrd officiating.

Visitation: 10:00 to 11:00 A.M. on Monday at the funeral home.

Interment: Woodlawn Cemetery, Oelwein.

Joyce Ann Tolles was born January 1, 1948, in Oskaloosa, Iowa, the daughter of Floyd Orie and Ann Lee (Creech) Tolles. She attended school in Oskaloosa. On November 29, 1965, she was united in marriage to Richard Iseton in Illinois. Joyce was a devoted homemaker. She also was employed as a custodian at the Strawberry Point Lutheran Home in Strawberry Point, a nursing home in Indiana and the Oskaloosa School. Joyce enjoyed crocheting, cooking, cleaning, preparing holiday meals for her family and spending time with her family and grandchildren.

Joyce is survived by her husband: Richard Iseton of Oelwein; 5 children: Goldie Iseton of Oelwein, Tina Wayne of Oelwein, Richard "Nelson" (Amber) Iseton of Silver Lake, Indiana, Robert (Andrea) Iseton of Oelwein and Mary (Noah) Lovell of Silver Lake, Indiana; many grandchildren, many great grandchildren; son-in-law: Robert Slayden of Oelwein; and brother: Bill (Lorretta) Tolles of Rose Hill.

She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter: Missy Slayden; son-in-law: Rodney Wayne; sister: Connie Sue Tolles at infancy; and 3 brothers: Gary Tolles, John Tolles and Floyd Tolles, Jr.
