Jeanne Axtell

Jeanne Rechkemmer Axtell died on January 27, 2013 in Abilene, Texas. She was a former Oelwein resident and graduated from Oelwein High School in 1951. Jeanne worked in a Waterloo bank until her marriage. She then moved to Minnesota, Iowa and Texas. She was a volunteer for Meals on Wheels, which she loved doing for many years. Jeanne is survived by her sister, June Fisher Hanson of Oelwein and many nieces and nephews.
Preceding her in death were her parents, Dolores Kamps and Oscar Rchekemmer, two brothers, Jack and Jerry Rechkemmer, grandmother, Myrtle Byron, two nephews, Michael Fisher and Jack B. Rechkemmer, and brothers-in-law, Dwayne Hanson and Robert Fisher.

Burial will be at a later date with family at Floral Hills Memorial Gardens, south of Oelwein.
