Jannes L. Snow, 51, of Clinton, Wisconsin died on Monday morning, January 12, 2009, as the result of an automobile accident thirty miles south of Rockford, Illinois on Interstate 39. Funeral Service: 1:30 P.M. on Saturday, January 17, 2009 at Grace United Methodist Church in Oelwein, Iowa; Officiating: Rev. Darwin Moore; Visitation: from 4:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. on Friday at the Jamison-Schmitz Funeral Home in Oelwein, Iowa and after 12:30 P.M. on Saturday at the church; there will be a Military Memorial Service at 7:00 P.M. on Friday by Ross Reid American Legion Post # 9 Honor Guard of Oelwein, Iowa; Interment: Floral Hills Memorial Gardens Cemetery in rural Oelwein, Iowa A Memorial fund has been established in her name. Jannes Lynn Pritchard was born on January 9, 1958 at Palmer Memorial Hospital at West Union, Iowa the daughter of Lyle and Judith (Campbell) Pritchard. She attended school in Littleport and graduated from Central High School in Elkader. Jannes went to La James College of Hairstyling winning many competitions. She was a beautician for several years. In April of 1988 she joined the United States Army for 4 years serving in Denver, Colorado and Fort Knox, Kentucky. She earned the degree of Bio-Med technician. After the service she worked several years for Physio Control maintaining defibulators. In 1997 she joined the Johnson and Johnson Company and was a senior field engineer working on hospital equipment. Jannes enjoyed hula hooping, knitting and crocheting. Jannes married David Snow on August 20, 2005. They enjoyed many outings together including antique car shows. She enjoyed David's 1929 REO and went to various places with him and spending time with her grandchildren and vacationing with her family..
