Janice L. Vierow, 86, of Oelwein, Iowa, died Monday morning, January 13, 2025, at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinic in Iowa City, Iowa.

Public Visitation: 4:00 to 7:00 P.M. Thursday, January 16, 2025, at Jamison-Schmitz Funeral Home in Oelwein.
A private family graveside service will be held at Long Grove Cemetery in Maynard, Iowa with Rev. Josh Schunk officiating.

Janice Lorraine Henniges was born June 5, 1938, in Fayette, Iowa, the daughter of Leroy “Bud” and Alice (Cummings) Henniges. In 1956, she graduated from Fayette High School and in 1957, she graduated from Pitzes Beauty School. On April 13, 1958, she was united in marriage to Clifford Wayne Vierow at the First Presbyterian Church in Maynard. Janice worked at Millers Beauty Shop and for 29 years drove school bus for Oelwein Community Schools. She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Oelwein. Janice enjoyed family, playing cards, reading and crocheting.

Janice is survived by her son: Rick (Kathy) Vierow of Fayette; 3 grandchildren: Scott Vierow, Kevin (Bobbi Jo) Vierow and Molly Vierow; and 2 great grandchildren: Blaire and Layla Vierow.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband: Clifford; and son: Roger “Hap” Vierow.
