Gregory K. McCarty, 56, of Fayette, Iowa died suddenly on Saturday, February 6, 2010 at the Veterans Memorial Hospital in Waukon, Iowa Visitation will be on Saturday, February 13, 2010 from 1:00 P.M. to 5:00 P.M. at the Jamison-Schmitz Funeral Home in Oelwein, Iowa; There will be no funeral service. Inurnment will be at a later date. Gregory donated tissue to the Iowa Donors Network as a gift of life to others. He graduated from Anamosa High School at Anamosa, Iowa in 1971 and received his bachelors degree from the University of Iowa at Iowa City, Iowa in 1984. Gregory married Debra Berg on August 17, 1980 at Anamosa, Iowa. Greg loved caving, reptiles, astronomy, computers, hiking, and the Iowa Hawkeyes.
