Felix Eber Hawkins Obituary (1939

Felix Eber Hawkins was born April 23, 1940 at Aurora, Iowa the son of Bert and Maxine Scarbrough Hawkins. He attended school in Aurora and graduated with the Aurora High School class of 1959. Felix worked around Aurora until moving to California in the early 1960's. He worked for Ruland Electric in Covina, CA until retiring. He enjoyed his yard and many trees. He liked watching his many birds and picking fruit from his trees. He also enjoyed going to the Horse Track and collecting many items. Felix entered into his eternal rest on April 30, 2012 at his home in Covina following a short illness. He was 72 years of age. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother Chaffin Hawkins. Survivors include four brothers: Cecil (Kay) Hawkins of Aurora; Norman of West Virginia; Albert "Junior" (Janet) Hawkins of Marion; and Ed (Veda) Hawkins of Waterloo; two sisters: Teddy Luloff of Aurora and Penny Wright of Lamont; many nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be at 10:30 A.M. Wednesday, May 23, 2012 in the Fawcett Funeral Home at Winthrop with Pastor John Brockschink officiating. Interment will be in Madison Cemetery south of Aurora.
