Eunice E. Taylor Obituary (1928

Eunice E. Taylor, 93, formerly of Oelwein, Iowa died Tuesday morning, August 17, 2021, at the Hiawatha Care Center in Hiawatha, Iowa. A private family graveside service will be held at Floral Hills Memorial Gardens in rural Oelwein with Scott Fischer officiating. Public Visitation: 9:00 A.M. to 10:00 A.M. Saturday, August 21, 2021, at the Jamison-Schmitz Funeral Home in Oelwein. Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, Eunice's family request that people in attendance social distance and wear face masks. Online obituary at www.jamisonschmitzfuneralhome.com Eunice Eileen Parkinson was born April 11, 1928, in Edgewood, Iowa, the daughter of Arthur and Viola (Rizer) Parkinson. She graduated from Maynard High School in Maynard. On May 18, 1947, she was united in marriage to Howard L. Taylor in West Union, Iowa. She was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses in Oelwein. Eunice enjoyed cooking, going for walks and most of all spending time with her family. Eunice is survived by her 4 children: Norman Taylor, Veronica Taylor (Ron), Twila (Dallas) Nissen and Judy (Rick) Guenther all of Cedar Rapids; 7 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; and brother: Delbert Parkinson of Phillips, Wisconsin. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Howard on March 21, 2003; 2 grandchildren: Barrett Nissen and Stacy Nissen; and 8 siblings.
