Dean Cox, 68, of Fayette, Iowa died peacefully at his home on Thursday, November 26, 2009.

Memorial Service: 7:00 P.M. on Tuesday, December 1, 2009 at the Jamison-Schmitz Funeral Home, Maynard with Rev. Tim Parker officiating.
Gathering of Family & Friends: 4:00 to 7:00 P.M. on Tuesday at the funeral home.
Inurnment: 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, December 2, 2009 at Garden of Memories Cemetery at Waterloo, Iowa.
Memorials may be given in his name to the West Central Booster Club.

Dean is survived by:
Daughter: Elizabeth Cox of Riverside, California;
Son: Dan Cox of Hudson, Iowa and a
Brother: DeLos (Marilyn) Cox Jr. of Janesville, Iowa.

He was preceded in death by his Parents, Wife: Elaine C. Cox on November 2, 2007 and a Infant Daughter: Jennifer Lynn Cox.

Doyle Dean Cox was born on March 5, 1941 in Waterloo, Iowa the son of DeLos and Chrystal (Weathermon) Cox Sr.. He graduated from West High School in Waterloo, Iowa in 1959 and also received a degree from Hawkeye Tech in Waterloo, Iowa. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army. Dean married Elaine Clara Petalos on December 7, 1960 at Bethany, Missouri. He worked at John Deere Tractor Works in Waterloo and retired after 30 years of service. Dean was a member of St. Peter Lutheran Church in Westgate and the United Auto Workers Union. Dean had formerly been a member of the Westgate Fire Department and First Responders. He enjoyed square dancing, golfing and was an avid supporter of West Central High School activities.
