Mass of the Resurrection: 11:00 A.M. on Wednesday, January 9, 2013 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Oelwein, Iowa; Officiating: Rev. Paul C. McManus and Deacon Jim Patera; Visitation: from 4:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. on Tuesday at the Jamison-Schmitz
Funeral Home in Oelwein where there will be a Parish Scripture Service at 7:30 P.M. Interment: Woodlawn Cemetery at Oelwein, Iowa

Dorothy Rae White was born on March 22, 1931 at Edgewood, Iowa, the daughter of Fred & Faye (Steele) White. She moved with her family to Strawberry Point where she graduated from high school in 1948. Dorothy was united in marriage to Merlin Edward Frommelt on May 1, 1951 at Strawberry Point, Iowa. They lived in Strawberry Point until they moved to Oelwein. In addition to raising her family, Dorothy had worked at Ace Hardware, was a cook at the Oelwein Junior High and had worked at Spurgeon's Department Store. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Dorothy enjoyed reading, crafting, flower gardening and spending time with her grandchildren. She has been a resident of the Oelwein Health Care Center since April 30, 2010.

Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents, husband: Merlin on November 15, 1993; sister: Margie June as an infant and 2 grandchildren: Mackenzie & McKenna Rueber.
