Don Jennings, 95, of Arlington, Iowa died on Saturday morning, April 9, 2011 at Maple Crest Manor at Fayette.

Funeral Service to celebrate Don's life will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Wednesday, April 13, 2011 at the United Methodist Church, Arlington, with Pastor Lisa Schroeder officiating.
Visitation: 4:00 to 7:00 P.M. on Tuesday at the Jamison-Schmitz Funeral Home, Arlington and for one hour before the service at the church on Wednesday.
Interment: Taylorsville Cemetery, Arlington, Iowa.
A Memorial Fund has been established for the Arlington United Methodist Church Parsonage & the Arlington E.M.T.'s.

John Donald Jennings was born on November 14, 1915 at Volga, Iowa, the son of Clifford Leon & Eva Lois (Burrington) Jennings. He graduated from Volga High School in 1935. Don was united in marriage to Ethel Cecilia Bowen on April 16, 1936 at the United Methodist Parsonage in West Union, Iowa. Following their marriage, they lived in Volga for several years and then moved to Arlington where they resided many years. They celebrated their 65th Wedding Anniversary in 2001. Don was a truck driver for the Arlington Creamery, Arlington Coop and owned his own rock and stock trucks, retiring from trucking in 1993 after 48 years in the business. In his retirement he started junking, which was his passion. He had been a resident of Maple Crest Manor since September of 2010. Don was a member of the Arlington United Methodist Church.

Don was preceded in death by his parents, wife: Ethel on October 11, 2001, daughter-in-law: Mary Ann Jennings, sister: Mary Homewood and a brother-in-law: LeRoy Homewood.
