Della J. Voshell, 78, of Oelwein, Iowa died on Wednesday evening, December 26, 2012 at Mercy Hospital of Franciscan Sisters in Oelwein. Memorial Service: 1:00 P.M. Saturday, January 12, 2013 at Floral Hills Funeral Home, rural Oelwein with Rev. Tim Schoepf officiating. Visitation will be for one hour before the service at the funeral home. Inurnment: Floral Hills Memorial Gardens, rural Oelwein, Iowa at a later date. A Memorial Fund has been established. Online obituary at www.jamisonschmitzfuneralhome.com Della Joyce Clemens was born on July 15, 1934 at Oelwein, Iowa, the daughter of Leonard Joseph & Muriel (Duckett) Clemens. She received her education from the Oelwein Schools. Della moved to Davenport where she met and in 1956 married Norman Henry Matzen. They later divorced in 1960. Della moved back to Oelwein and married Richard Lavern Voshell on July 30, 1960 in Minnesota. They lived and raised their family in Oelwein. In 1976 Della took her Certified Nurses Aid training and worked for several years at Mercy Hospital and Grandview Care Center. She then worked at Hub City Bakery, was a homemaker and took care of her family. Della moved to Waterloo in 1989 where she worked at St. Vincent de Paul and for Elder Care. In 2000 she moved to Oklahoma for 9 years and then moved back to Oelwein. She had been a resident of Grandview Care Center for the past 2 1/2 years. Della is survived by her 8 Children: Ricki (Bob) Vargason of Oelwein, Rod (Marty) Voshell of Cumberland, Wisconsin, Richard Voshell, Jr. of Cumberland, Wisconsin, Bruce Matzen of Green Bay, Wisconsin, Susan (Leonard) Mason of Oelwein, Steven Voshell of Cumberland, Wisconsin, Joel Voshell of Westgate & Arla Voshell (Bill Bishop) of Green Bay, Wisconsin; 14 Grandchildren; 15 Great Grandchildren; Sister: Marjorie Small of Oelwein and Many Nieces, Nephews & Cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband on February 16, 1983, infant son, daughter-in-law: Dawn Voshell, 4 sisters: Ethel Ruth, Geraldine, Vivian and Leona and 2 brothers: Lavern and Robert.
