David A. Lowe, 48, of Oelwein, Iowa, died Monday, February 23, 2026, at his home.

A private family graveside service will be held at Floral Hills Memorial Gardens, Hazleton, Iowa, with Rev. Randy Baldwin officiating.

David Ashley Lowe was born August 5, 1977, at Lindsey Air Force Base in Wiesbaden, Germany, the son of Dale Franklin and Barbara Sue (Vandersee) Lowe. He enjoyed playing guitar, playing cards and games, drawing and painting.

David is survived by his parents: Dale and Barb Lowe of Fairbank; aunts and uncles: Elaine Gallagher of Hazleton, Ruth Wenger of Fairbank, Paul Vandersee of Dubuque, Sandra Pitt of Arroyo Grande, California and Annette (Mark) McNab of Anchorage, Alaska; and several cousins.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents: Benjamin and Laura Lowe; maternal grandparents: Laverne and Gwennith Vandersee; uncles: Vernon Vandersee, Mike Gallagher, Richard Wenger and Gilbert Pitt.
