Darrell D Scott

Darrell Dee Scott was born on July1, 1932 to William and Emir (Butterfield) Scott in Independence, Iowa.
Darrell graduated form Independence High School in 1949. He attended two years of college at Kirkwood Missouri and later attended a year of classes at The Gates College in Waterloo.
Darrell married Sally Jo Willson at the Methodist Parsonage in Independence on December 24, 1951. To this union were born three children; Darrylin, Eric, and Cheryl.
Darrell served in the U.S. Air Force from 1952-1956 as an airman 1st Class. Darrell was a mechanic at John Deere & Company of Waterloo for 25 years. He retired from Deere's in 1997. He was a member of the UAW local 838 in Waterloo.
Darrell entered into eternal rest on July 24, 2006 at the Buchanan County Health Center in Independence following a lengthy illness. He was 74 years of age.
Darrell is survived by his wife Sally of nearly 55 years of Walker, his daughter Cheryl (son-in-law Don) Andersen of Winthrop, his beloved grandson John Wesley Scott Andersen of Winthrop, one brother David Scott of Independence and one sister Carmallita Durnin of Hudson.
Darrell is preceded in death by his daughter Darrylin Scott, his son Eric Scott, his parents William and Emir Scott; one sister Evelyn Weber, and one brother Robert Scott.
Graveside services are at 1:00P.M. On July 26, 2006 at the Circle Grove Cemetery at Hoover Church in rural Walker with Rev. Charles Clark officiating.
