Darlys Ione Voshell, 80, of Waterloo and formerly of Oelwein, Iowa, died Tuesday, December 25, 2012 at her home in Waterloo, Iowa. Memorial Service: 1:30 P.M. Friday, December 28, 2012 at Floral Hills Funeral Home, rural, Oelwein with Rev. Connie Markle of the Grace United Methodist Church officiating. Visitation: One hour before the service at the funeral home on Friday. Inurnment: Floral Hills Memorial Gardens, rural Oelwein, Iowa. A Memorial Fund has been established in her name. Darlys Ione Grapp was born February 22, 1932, at Waverly, Iowa, the daughter of Oscar and Rosina (Pierce) Grapp. She graduated from the Waverly High School. On March 10, 1965, she was united in marriage to Lawrence Wesley Voshell at Galena, Illinois. Darlys was employed at US West in Waterloo for 35 years. She was a member of Grace United Methodist Church in Oelwein. Darlys enjoyed spending time with her family, word searches, crocheting and gardening. Darlys is survived by her 3 Children, Debra Kruse of Waterloo, Douglas (Vila) Ahrenholz of New Hartford; and Tamara Voshell of Waterloo; 10 Grandchildren; 15 Great Grandchildren; 1 Great-Great Grandson; 1 Brother, John (Eleanor) Grapp of New Mexico; and 2 Sisters, Laverne (Pete) Smith of New Mexico and Audrey (Ross) Sinkey of New Mexico. She was preceded in death by her Parents; Husband, Lawrence; Great Granddaughter, Alexis; Sisters, Donna and Caroline; and a Brother, Billy.
