Darliene R. Rehlander, 89, of Cedar Falls and formerly of Oelwein, Iowa died Monday evening, February 8, 2016 at Windhaven Assisted Living in Cedar Falls. Funeral Service: 10:30 A.M. Saturday, February 13, 2016 at the Jamison-Schmitz Funeral Home in Oelwein with Rev. Leo Combs-Lay officiating. Visitation: 3:00 P.M. to 5:00 P.M. Friday and after 9:30 A.M. Saturday at the funeral home. Order of the Eastern Star Service: 5:00 P.M. Friday at the funeral home. Interment: Woodlawn Cemetery, Oelwein. Memorials may be directed in her name to the Oelwein Chapter #45 Order of the Eastern Star. She graduated from Oelwein High School in 1943. On January 23, 1944, she was united in marriage to Milton Frederick Rehlander at Zion Lutheran Church in Oelwein. Over the years she was employed at DeKalb, OCCO, Connor's Department Store as an accomplished seamstress, homemaker and 22 years as director of the Oelwein Community School Lunch Program. Darliene was a 55 year loyal member and past Matron of the Oelwein Chapter #45 Order of the Eastern Star and Zion Lutheran Church in Oelwein. Darliene had lived the last nine years in Cedar Falls. Darliene is survived by her 3 children: Larry (Ellen) Rehlander of Elk River, Minnesota, Margie (Jim) McMahon of Waterloo and David (Kim) Rehlander of Waterloo; 2 daughters-in-law: Sang Rehlander of Wichita, Kansas and Edna Rehlander of Waterloo; 11 grandchildren: Jon, Dan, Laura, Chris, Jeff, Kerri, Stephen, Darliene, Donald, Matthew and Miranda; and several great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband on February 8, 2010; 2 sons: Dennis Rehlander and Jerry Rehlander; 1 grandson: Terry; and 3 brothers: Donald, Raymond and Archie Dilky.
