Clay D. Moser, 60, of Waverly, Iowa died on Monday, August 31, 2020 in Waverly. Clay's family will host a Celebration of Life on Saturday, September 26, 2020 from 1:00 to 5:00 P.M. at The Cooler in Shell Rock, Iowa. Online obituary at www.jamisonschmitzfuneralhome.com Clay Devin Moser was born on August 14, 1960 in Oelwein, Iowa, the son of Clifford Dean Moser, Sr. and Verna Mardelle (Doudney) Moser. He received his education at Oelwein Community High School and at Kirkwood Community College where he received his CDL license. Clay married Michele Hedrick on December 31, 1989 in Hazleton, Iowa. They later divorced. Clay moved to Waverly in 1989. He worked at Croell Redi Mix as a driver in Waverly for 30 years. Clay was also a bartender in Oelwein for many years. Clay enjoyed kayaking, fishing, coin collecting and drinking beer with his family. He had a great love of music as some referred to him as a walking jukebox. Clay is survived by his 3 Children: Jenna Moser of Waverly, Zachary Moser of Waverly & Zoee Hayes of Dunkerton; 2 Grandchildren: Zaiden Moser of Tennessee and Kayden Hayes of Dunkerton; 5 Brothers: Clifford Moser of Janesville, Clark Moser of Oelwein, Curt (Melinda) Moser of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Cyle (Melissa) Moser of Oelwein & Chad (Candy) Moser of Independence; 2 Sisters: Christine Frazer of Wadena & Colleen Moser of Tripoli; Nieces & Nephews. Clay was preceded in death by his father: Clifford D. Moser, Sr., mother: Verna Hinnenkamp, brother: Craig Moser and a special friend: Roseanne Christopherson.
