Carole Sue Blue

Carole S. Blue, 77, of Tifton, Georgia and formerly of Arlington, Iowa, died suddenly on Tuesday, April 4, 2023, in Wesley Chapel, Florida.

Funeral Service: 10:30 A.M. Tuesday, April 11, 2023, at St. John Lutheran Church, Arlington, with Rev. Margaret Yackel-Juleen officiating.

Visitation: 4:00 to 7:00 P.M. Monday at the Jamison-Schmitz Funeral Home, Arlington, and for one hour before the service on Tuesday at the church.

Interment: Long Grove Cemetery, Maynard, Iowa.

Carole Sue Everly was born on July 20, 1945, in Iowa City, Iowa, the daughter of Cecil William & Mary Edna (Smith) Everly. She received her education at the Volga and Elkader schools. Carole was united in marriage to Leon Ray Blue on August 24, 1963 in Fort Knox, Kentucky. Three children were born to this union, Darla, Kim and James. Carole was a homemaker and worked at several places in the area. Leon died on January 2, 1993. Later, Carole befriended Don Clark and they moved to Tifton, Georgia where they lived for many years. Carole was a member of the Lutheran church. Carole enjoyed sewing, fishing, camping, boating and flower gardening.

Carole is survived by her Friend: Don Clark of Tifton, Georgia; 2 Daughters: Darla (Brian) Jarchow of New Hampton & Kimberly (Al) Larsen of Oelwein; Son: James Blue of Sumner; Step-Daughter: Ronnie (Randy) Harrison of Michigan; 10 Grandchildren: Clint (Sarah) Jarchow of Sumner, Krista (Patrick) Marrah of New Hampton, Ceara (Justin) Steege of New Hampton, Andrew Blue (Rhonda Jackson) of Tennessee & Amber (Matt) Walsh of Tripoli, Leon Jarchow of Oelwein, Brady Jarchow (Brooke Headington) of Waterloo, Audrey Blue (Kane Washington) of Grinnell, Austin Rifenburgh of Michigan & Brandon Rifenburgh of Michigan; Many Great Grandchildren; Brother: Melvin Everly of Clarksville; Sister: June Blue of Wadena; 2 Sisters-In-Law: Connie (Lavern) Schaefers of Wadena & Alice (John) Wanderscheid of New Hampton; Brother-In-Law: Allan (Cheryl) Blue of Altoona and Nieces & Nephews.

Carole is preceded in death by her parents, husband: Leon on January 2, 1993, two brothers: Gordon Everly and Loren Everly; sister: Kay Hayes; 2 sister-in-law: Frances Nelson & Bonnie Blue and 2 brother-in-law: Ture Nelson & Robert Blue.
