Aylan C. Bearden, 55, of Oelwein, Iowa, died Tuesday, June 17, 2025, at her home. Private family services will be held. Jamison-Schmitz Funeral Home in Oelwein is assisting the family. Online obituary at www.jamisonschmitzfuneralhome.com Aylan Christina Kurniawan was born August 7, 1969, in Jakarta, Indonesia, the daughter of Hadi Kurniawan and Lisda Sutanto. She graduated from high school and received her marketing degree, both in Jarkata. In 2007, Aylan moved to the United States. On June 20, 2009, she was united in marriage to Scott Alan Bearden in Tama, Iowa. Over the years, Aylan provided home care for the elderly. She was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Independence, Iowa. Aylan enjoyed gardening, going for walks, Candy Crush and cooking. Aylan is survived by her husband: Scott Bearden of Oelwein; daughter: Gabriella Bearden of Oelwein; parents: Hadi Kurniawan and Lisda Sutanto of Jakarta, Indonesia; 2 sisters: Yana Kurniawan (Stefanus Kevin Lie) and Fera Kurniawan both of Jakarta, Indonesia; father-in-law: Fritz (Mila) Bearden of Toledo; 2 sisters-in-law: Dawn (John) Swanson of Macomb, Illinois and Pam (Scott) Garwood of Minneapolis, Minnesota; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her brother: Edwin Kurniawan; and mother-in-law: Bettie Bearden.
