Arlin D. Hoehne, 68, of Maynard, Iowa, died on Tuesday afternoon, March 17, 2009 at Mercy Hospital of Franciscan Sisters, Oelwein after a long illness. Funeral Service: 10:30 A.M. Thursday, March 19, 2009 at St. Peter Lutheran Church, Westgate, with Rev. Timothy E. Parker. Visitation: 4:00 to 8:00 P.M. on Wednesday at the Jamison-Schmitz Funeral Home, Maynard and for one hour before services at the church on Thursday. Interment: St. Peter Cemetery, Westgate, Iowa. Online obituary at www.jamisonschmitzfuneralhome.com Arlin Duane Hoehne was born on December 27, 1940 at Oelwein, Iowa, the son of Edwin Arthur & Mary Elizabeth (Broughton) Hoehne. He graduated from West Central High School at Maynard in 1958. Arlin operated a dairy farm east of Sumner for many years and also had worked at John Deere in Waterloo for 13 years. He was a member of St. Peter Lutheran Church at Westgate. Arlin enjoyed fishing and spending time outdoors. Arlin is survived by his 4 Sons: Randall Hoehne of Independence, Kevin Hoehne of Sumner, Darrell ( Doah) Hoehne of Elma & Brent (Christine) Hoehne of Ham Lake, Minnesota; 8 Grandchildren; 2 Sisters: Janice (George) Steinbronn of Westgate & Beverly (Jim) Dohse of Decorah; Brother: Jerome Hoehne of Fennimore, Wisconsin and 7 Nieces & Nephews. Arlin was preceded in death by his parents.
